SamKEY keeps Samsung carrier unlocking and code-reading in separate editions: CodeReader handles supported Samsung code-reading jobs, while TMO and SPR editions perform carrier unlocks. The software runs from a computer with the Samsung USB drivers; no separate box is required. Choose the edition for the job, connect the phone, and use its account and credit balance to run the supported operation.
🔓 Carrier unlock editions
TMO targets supported Samsung phones that show “Invalid SIM Card” rather than requesting a network unlock code. Listed Qualcomm models include Galaxy S7, S8, S9 and Note8 variants, plus selected J-series models; the supported Exynos list includes selected Galaxy J3 and J7 variants. Some listed Exynos models require a UART cable.
SPR Edition offers direct unlock for SPR, BST, VMU, DSH and XAS carrier variants. Its listed models include selected Galaxy A-series and J-series phones, Galaxy S9 through S20 variants, Note9 and Note10 variants, and Galaxy Z Flip F700U/F700U1. Release notes for SPR Edition v3.01.5 state that firmware released after June 2020 is unsupported and advise using the lowest firmware version on the same binary before unlocking.
📖 CodeReader and credits
CodeReader is a separate Samsung edition with model- and firmware-specific code-reading support. Its release notes name models including M136B (Galaxy M13 5G), SC01L, SC01M, N9600 and E426B, and describe a Qualcomm V2 method on the SC01L/SC01M entries. Credit use varies by model and operation.
CodeReader access can be set up on a new account or transferred to an existing user account. TMO/SPR credit packs add credits for those editions; an existing-user transfer requires an account.
